Climate Change Forum - Ethiopia (CCF-E) is pioneer organization established to promote and coordinate climate change at national level. The objective of the Forum is to craft localized knowledge and share it to build a resilient society that can harmonize itself to withstand the adverse impacts of climate change. To this effect, communication, convening, coordination, and community development endeavours have been identified as an important mechanisms to achieve set of objectives and goals. The forum is actively engaged in promoting public awareness rising at different levels, involving policy and strategy development, international negotiations, supporting research and development activities pertaining to climate change, and working in partnerships with various stakeholders affiliated to climate change. Indeed, the Forum pioneered and championed organization in organizing the first land-mark National Climate Change Conference, and subsequently a nation-wide Climate Hearing Campaign in the nine regions of the country. Recently, the Forum has embarked on climate change adaptation and mitigation activities in Central Rift Valley areas to rehabilitate degraded lands and improve the livelihood of vulnerable and marginalized communities including women by working closely with government MoANR, non state actors, local government, and communities. Thus, capitalizing on its rich experience, the Forum is committed itself to further strengthened its effort to support communities to develop capacity to climate resilience. Currently the Forum in collaboration with MoANR implements projects in the most vulnerable communities and ecosystem of particular impotence in the central rift valley of Ethiopia. Particular project locations are Bosat, Lume and Adami Tullu Jido kombolcha woredas in East Shoa zone, Oromia. These activities are part of the Agriculture Fast Track Project in which CCF is responsible for the execution.
